Ladies and gentlemen of Singaporean airspace, how on this earth does horrifically abominable athlete Soh Ruiyong time and again find a way to slip under the skin or 'radar' of SNOC board and selection committee members to scandalize them, parody them, deride them, tarnish them, corrupt them and their prestige, honor and reputation and only get away with a temporary ban of 1 year, 2 years, 3 years, max 5 years?!!!!!!!!!
If I Joe KS were the President or otherwise of the SNOC or otherwise there is no question in my mind that such horrific abomination as Soh Ruiyong needs to obviously be 'put to sleep' for good, ie, P-E-R-M-A-N-E-N-T-L-Y banned ever after!!!!!

Answer: human memories and experiences stemming from biological neural connections or circuitry take on average 10 years to harmonize and cohere, ie, make sense of reality or gain higher wisdom and insight of the nature of reality hence empathize and sympathize with the same or R-E-P-E-N-T!!!!!!
For a 'well-trained' (rather well doped up) athlete like Soh Ruiyong, his memories and experiences would ordinarily take longer to renew or harmonize and cohere with the nature of reality being that those biological neural connections of his would be much better connections with stronger affinity or magnetism for one another thus more difficult to distort or 'forget' about, does that make sense like this?!!!

If so then why am I Joe KS only giving him, or recommending SNOC to give, a 10 year ban rather than a permanent one?!!!

I Joe KS feel so very much conflicted insofar as I even want the death sentence on him for not only corrupting his blood stream with possibly borderline illegal cannabidiol (AKA CBD) whose purity from THC or tetrahydrocannabinol there is no way to ascertain since I don't know both the source of creation and of import into Singaporean airspace, but also that of Shanti Pereira, Ang Chen Xiang, Vanessa Lee, Romaine Soh his very own sister, Jeevanesh, Calvin Quek, Zubin Percy, Ng Chin Hui, Thiruben Thanarajan just to name a few non-exhaustive and ever-evolving dynamic list of highly suspicious CBD dopers or otherwise, yet on the other hand I am merciful enough to only want from him pure 100% obedience to SNOC's athlete code of conduct so that he doesn't even get 1 single warning or censure from SNOC themselves!!!
Does that make sense like this?!!!
I might be able to believe SNOC's patience in giving Soh Ruiyong 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 chances, 1st in 2017, 2nd in 2018, 3rd in 2019, 4th in 2020, 5th in 2021, 6th in 2022, now 7th in 2023 since each year shall count as 1 chance to repent anew regardless of any initiative on SNOC"s part to faciliate such repentance anew, but how would I ever dare believe SNOC might potentially give him an 8th chance to represent Singapore after this year at any future international games or championships?!!!!
Soh Ruiyong, an RJC graduate with a university degree of higher education in business and currently pursuing one in law in England and who is therefore more than reasonably expected to know and understand what's acceptable or unacceptable public behavior has failed SNOC 7 times in 7 years since 2017 while SNOC for some reason I cannot fathom could be sooooooo indulgent enough in Soh Ruiyong indeed in all his taunting and abusing of them to still select him for 2023 SEA Games??????
Could a highly educated student of law and future lawyer not know or understand what is required and expected of good public and moral/ethical behavior of a national athlete, nor not be able to read between the lines of the 2019 athlete code of conduct 7 times out of 7 or 100 percent of the time so as to clearly commit an outright and intentional offence?!!!!

I Joe KS, as would be many Singaporean stakeholders, am truly confused what or where your moral stance or compass lie especially as even right now Soh Ruiyong continues mocking and abusing you on this new public media article HERE and I highlight the statements he still makes that morally implicates SNOC for wrongdoing and scandal:

And this despite SNOC reporting or otherwise to the media a few months ago that Soh Ruiyong had made or implied numerous apologies demonstrating his regret for his wrongdoing against you and of which has been accepted by you as evidence of his willingness to not commit those offences again, and, change of heart for the better.
He then goes on to say, imply or suggest that he has 'nothing to redeem', 'didn't do anything wrong', 'stood for what he believed in' which are all serious issues of moral deception or two-faced-ness since he had made numerous 'apologies' to the opposite effect of these statements and which SNOC themselves had verified and found to be safe and credible or made from a safe and credible human heart!!!!!!!
Therefore given that Soh Ruiyong who had broken all his apologies or pledges, then would SNOC whom had so confidently pledged for the authenticity of heart and of its attendant apology/pledge of Soh Ruiyong's be also seriously guilty of breaking their own pledge that Soh Ruiyong had apologized hence changed enough to be deemed worthy of wearing the Singapore jersey and representing her again without ever making one more offensive or abusive action against them or anybody else?
Finally, Soh Ruiyong the future lawyer tries to wiggle his way out by equivocating about any material wrongdoing against the statutes of the 2019 athlete code of conduct as one pertaining to 'the way I went about doing it' insofar as trying to downplay the significance of his offence against the same without recognizing that the way he went about offending and abusing you the SNOC and everybody else is still offending and abusing in the end therefore it shouldn't mitigate how well he sugar-coats or panders offensive and abusive actions and speeches towards the SNOC if it would be offensive and abusive in the end!!!
Soh Ruiyong is trying to use legal-like doublespeak to exonerate himself of all his clear as daylight abuses against SNOC and a host of other victims being himself a lawyer in training which therefore casts the SNOC in bad light or as the party in the wrong!!!
Did SNOC finally awoke from its persistently errant decision to give indeed merely wait for Soh Ruiyong an almost umpteenth 7th time/chance (at and in the lead-up and after 2023 Cambodia SEA Games) to make amends for his moral and ethical abuses and offences when it finally broke a statement to the press below:
"The committee found Mr Soh to have failed to honour commitments which he had provided to the SNOC, including on occasions following his participation at the Cambodia 2023 SEA Games," a spokesperson said in a statement.

Why didn't SNOC with so many sharp eyed, experienced and well-weathered civil servants even lawyers been able to detect or forestall earlier that his behavior or would-be behavior 'does not or would not ever commensurate with his apology', or that he would have forever failed to honour any undertaking, commitment or pledge provided to the SNOC and its stakeholders?!!!
Why did SNOC have to be pragmatic enough to undertake risk and allow the horrific man Soh Ruiyong and his equally guilty purveyor SA President Lien Choong Luen to offend them and so many others yet again in order to then find him guilty yet again and reject or purge him yet again?!!!
